4X4 Light

On the dash, when my truck starts the 4wd light lights up. When i put it in 4wd hi and lo, just the diagram on the tachometer changes and i can hear the shift. I assume the light is supposed to come on and i keep forgetting to mention it to the service people. would a test like this work to solve the problem, i was going to try this after work today.

Oh that light.
That is a warning light not an engage light.

ahh, the one on the dash the lights up on start up?
i always thought that it just did not work?

Its lights up during start because the truck performs a bulb check at this time. Your fine enjoy
