5.11 Stryke pants - yeah boy.

Someone suggested I give these a look for camping and outdoors pants. Gotta say, I'm all in. Great fabric, handle brush and weather, great pocket design (I always pocket carry a Ruger LCP or Sig P365). At $95, might be pricey to some but in today's world of fast fashion and crap clothing, these are worth the money imo. I would never have thought to look to tactical clothing in the past.

I bought mine at Sportsman's Warehouse. I'm 6', 165# and usually wear 34" waist and a 32" inseam (Levi's). These fit me as well as I might hope. The cool thing is their internal flex waist that gives you a little room for the pants to expand after, say, a big meal, or a few desserts you shouldn't have had. If you were to try purchasing online, just get them from a place that has free returns because sizing is weird these past years. Bottom line, for *me*, the sizing is spot on. Depending on your outdoor activities, if you find a pair that fits you correctly, I suspect you'll become a fan. There's a reason so many military, LE, and first responders wear these or other 5.11 clothes. I love khakis anyway so that's the color I chose. After wearing the initial pair for a weekend up in the SNRA and running them through the wash, I went back and bought a second pair. Two is one, one is none and all that...

Hands down, the best pants I have ever worn for the most part. And I have been wearing them for over a decade. Stupid comfy, tough. The recently changed a few things like they no longer have the tunnel in the boot cuffs which is a bummer.

The same style I wore, for contract deployments 7/days a week. Arctic, to desert, Jungle. And even looked good enough in the office environment. I still wear the same ones daily for work.

I get about 1 -1.5 yrs from a pair on average, where they will split at the seam gusset in the crotch.

Pro Tip, wash them inside out.

I size up 1, for the ones that will be an adventure pant. And wear true to size for the ones I wear professionally.

They also have the shorts in the same style, also recommend.

And the 5:11 Polo, on top. I do not remember which one, but it has pen pockets, and Mic loops. I have been wearing the same ones in rotation since 2019, and they still look good.

They are a nice pant. Wore them for several years and had zero issues. I definitely recommend as mentioned above washing inside out and in cold water.

Ps. I always buy from the 5.11 website. I do have a store in close enough proximity. Those are very limited.

Wore these again today on a small hike. They are really awesome. Had my LCP Max in my Bob Mika pocket holster on one side, my wallet, lip balm, and little Swiss Army knife (Ambassador) in the other. Keys in one of the small front pockets with my Benchmade clipped into the other. Cell phone in one back pocket, handkerchief in the other and a bottle of water in one of the pouch pockets. I'm not wearing a proper belt with these (instead, a braided leather) but the pants sat where they should with only an occasional need to hitch them a bit. The fabric works really well with the slight bit of stretch, especially at the knees. I don't think I mentioned in my initial posts that my first wearing of these up in the SNRA had me in a steady rain and they shed much of it off while drying quickly when I was out of it. Supposedly has a Teflon coating but I can't imagine that lasts past a few washes.
