Carfax reports that the 35K mileage is probably correct, and that the title is probably clear.
The vehicle is likely to have just one owner in California since new.
The vehicle failed smog check twice in Sept 2006, but passed on the third try.
The vehicle was involved in a front/rear collision with another vehicle in Nov 2007.
The vehicle was serviced by a Land Rover dealer in Redwood City CA two weeks ago.

The dealer is in California, south of Oakland

I would buy it in a heartbeat if it weren't half way across the country. If the deal came up in September within 500 mile of home, I'd snap it up. That is exactly what I'll be looking for.

I'm even interested! Does it have a Locker....hehe!

But this is the part that worries me.

"The vehicle was involved in a front/rear collision with another vehicle in Nov 2007."

It might seem like a good deal, but you would have a real hard time trying to ever sell it again if it had a Salvage Title. If it does have one. And they did not disclose it. I would not trust this dealer/seller.

But if you don't care about your $5,500.....I guess it's a great deal! Maybe you would get lucky and the accident was not all that bad.

I wish. Funds pretty low at the moment.

cheers

Maybe he meant the other Graham? Despite everything I say about Land Rovers I do quite like the early Discovery-s. Anyway, funds are pretty low at the moment.

Cheers,
Graham (the other one)

Scott, you're safe for now. I called and put a deposit down
to hold the vehicle until I can fly over to the Bay Area next
week to check it out.

Chip, we'll be near Antioch (Brannan Island) Saturday (18th) night camping on our way back from picking up the cruiser and AT. If you want to head over our way and crash in the Rover your more than welcome. It would be cool to meet you.

Congrats on a good deal.
