Lowly the Lorry was imported from Wales to Oregon (via Canada as it was too new for the US at the time). The short version is if it leaves the UK in x amount of days, no VAT tax on that end. Otherwise, nothing special if the vehicle is 25 years old or older for the USA, or 15 years old or older for Canada. I was eyeballing this Mowag Duro II 6x6, (these have lots of US components, Cummins 5.9 diesel, Allison transmission, etc) but it is far too new as a 2007.

Someone needs to fill-up their purchased Unimog with this Traction Matting and sell it over here. I would think that with 600 hitting the market the prices should be reasonable or good to very good.

You need to budget $10,000 for shipping and logistics.
Canada 6.1% non-NAFTA tax plus HST
You can expect multiple trips to MTO (Ontario) + official document translation, etc. You can do it but it is a PITA.
USA 25% import tax if it is a truck, 0% if it is a fire truck, local taxes.

At the bottom of each page is a price request form. You can also add any special requests like fast axles, etc. I got my reply within 24 hours.
They can also give you a shipping quote. According to them, 95% of their sales are outside of the UK, so transport/shipping is a specialty of theirs.

Quoted shipping of £3600 ($5000), from their depot to the docks in Tacoma, Washington via RORO (so it includes the ground transportation in England). This is for a 6x6 Duro II, so a U1300L or LR might be cheaper as they are shorter.
