Almost forgot, some pics of the fix. Used 3/4" nuts as the spacer all welded up the 16 GA sheet metal to frame it all up.
there are 4 nuts there all welded up, the cut the bottom flush witha sawzall followed by an angle grinder to drop it down enough to make room for the sheet metal.
Left most of the bead for strength. Still need to grind the top to the correct shape so the new pan sits down right so will pot pics of that ttomorrow.
also enlarged the holes out to more closely match oem.
Used a foam brush, lays it nice and thick 2 coats so far. After I flip it over and weld up the floor pans from the top will flip it again and do some welding from the bottom then paint it all again.
