Did you guys see all the neat fiberglass custom stuff available on that last link? Including the water tank that sits under the rear seats of the 80!!!!!

Did you see the rest of the interior cabinets as well? Some really cool stuff. I want.

Other than the polyester replacement panels, I can't find a price on anything. I'd love to see how much the pop-tops cost, as well as the pre-fab interiors.

Hey all - I have emailed them quite a few times, but not been able to get any replies at all. May try to use a text translator and email again today. I will keep you all informed on what I can find!

I couldn't find any prices either. I have a French speaking colleague at work - I'll ask him to call them tomorrow.

In the meantime.have a look at this homemade one I seen in France last summer. The guy said he knew Soenke - not sure if this guy posts on this forum though

Last summer I went to a huge German offroad show and posted a ton of pics of rigs like you guys are talking about

There are a bunch of versions on almost any platform from Toyota to G-wagen.

Having looked at them in person and crawled around inside I can say that it would be a very cool setup to have. Not sure if the final price after import would be something the US market could handle but I think a US based maker of these would have a good chance....hint hint Adventure Trailers :)

I looked into doing something similar with a US company (for a different vehicle). I can't remember exactly but roughly the cost would have been about $20K for tooling/molding and then perhaps around $2000 to $3000 for each unit.

I am not sure how many people would actually pay $3000 to put this on the Fj80.

I would think more than expected, but not enough to justify the expense of the molding/set-up/production.

X2 they make some AWESOME stuff that could definatly help to lighten a heavy Expo Rig... And that 80ser Water Tank??? I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! I keep thinking I could remove the seat backs completely in my 1st 4Runner and make a tank to fit there or up higher to fill the "dead space" where the back seats "aren't" on long trips. I could run a flexible filler neck up to one of the sliding windows in back. Looks like theirs runs around 460.00 Eu acording to the site. Simply a GREAT idea (well lots of them really) on that site.

Cheers

Dave
