Thats as far as I got, oil was cleaner than the rear, was a waste to change new oil but wanted to check the gears anyway and they matxh thw rear.

Gonna paint and fill with new oil tomorrow.

And a small start on the flares too

Removed the trim.

Be careful with the rubber undercoating on the dash. In the hot sun it gets soft and gooey and really stinks. That texture paint looks the balls!

Thanks, I really like putting all the tools on the wall, it makes them quick and easy to find plus I would rather spend money on tools instead of a box to hold them. Most good tool boxes cost a few hundred dollars, that is a lot of tools that could be bought, ans screws are cheap to hang them up with.

Ok so got it in the garage......not easy, it did not want to fit at all, I let a ton of air out and would still hit the house, so I busted out the ratchet straps and loaded the springs to get another couple inches of squat. Finally had to cut part of the door opener bracket off but in it went. Just enough room to squeeze behind it with the door down.

Also started to insulate the garage door today but ran out of insulation.

IMAG1037.jpg

Just enough room to squeeze by.

IMAG1038.jpg

In the front, not so much..

Now let it warm up in there and I will clean and button up the rear diff.

A little sneaky peak at the future! Had a few min while waiting for some primer to dry and figured I would take a quick test fit of the gage cluster.

IMAG1040.jpg

Got the front and rear diffs all buttoned up and filled with new oil, guess I better get cleaned up and off to bed now.

Well Crap!! looks like the fender flare is gonna be more a challenge than I thought, I was cleaning up and could not resist but to poke at the cancer spot to see how far it goes and of course it is really bad so will need to replace some sheet metal befor I can put the rear driver side fender flare on. And my phone died so no pics till in the morning.

but on the good side my energy suspension body bushing kit will be here tomorrow!!

I hate body trim and molding! Fixed two holes so far, no more trim can go on there.

Guess it will be in the garage a little longer. Gonna be a fun trick to put these in, the body is high off the ground so gotta get creative with the jack, prolly build a jig i guess.

Old and new side by side,

And the new is way lighter!!

All in place

IMAG1059.jpg

It sounds way different, but it works like a champ starts like my wifes 5.3 now, that little thing turns the 10:1 compression 496 like a toy!

So starting the poly body mounts and have some issues already,

IMAG1060.jpg

Started on one side and going good then find this

IMAG1061.jpg

Core support bolt is toast, time to go to home depot

Also seems I will have to drop the gas tank to get to this mount on each side
