87 Chevy crew cab pickup, long slow project

Oh something I forgot with the Isuzu engine, the adapter. I was lucky and a bell housing/flywheel adapter was already included with the engine. From what I've been told they are not the easiest to find.

The transfer case doubler adapter parts arrive last night! Need to drill the np203 so it will bolt up to the output of the transmission. Then I can install it and the doubler adapter. The 205 should be put back together next weekend

All wheels mounted and suspension adjusted to about a 3" lift. I'll have some fender trimming to do once the front bumper arrives with my new front spring hangers

I was totally stoked to follow this thread until I saw that you cut the frame off. Oh well, not my truck so I'll shut up. These trucks are pretty hard to find. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

I had the truck listed for sale before I started, no takers so the truck modifications began. The 24ft total length that it had was a big difficulty with the places I like to go.

Its a tight fit with that shelf, but the door closes with a few inches to spare

The body is actually shorter than my 05 regular cab long bed pickup, the 87 has a longer wheelbase though haha. The paint is a flat grey

I agree, makes for a TIGHT fit with a dually.
