yes, bed was originally 9', chopped down to 6'. Wheelbase was shortened about 18" and the rear shackle hangers are at the very end of the frame.

A 9' Bed? I didn't think they ever made beds 9' on any civilian trucks. News to me. I did some Google searching and only see 8' beds. Was this a special tow truck or something of that nature?

9' flatbed was installed by the previous owner. Truck came from the factory with the standard 8' dually bed.

Yep, I know....too bad really. These trucks are almost impossible to find.

my dad just scrapped one - it was in perfect shape, but he tried everything to sell it and no one wanted it at any price... so the motor was sold to a friend who built a gasser (BBC), and the rest went to the scrapper $800.

i like this truck, i am/was planning on building a crew cab next year and dropping a 5.3L into it, but right now im waiting to hear back from a guy with a crew that has a 12V swapped in.
