'87 suburban wheels?

My '87 4x4 half ton suburban has "16 "wagon spoke" wheels and tires. I like the look of the stock steel wheels and hubcaps and have been trying to find a used rims. I have 2 steel rims as spares and cant find others. The spares are 6x5.5" 16" wheels. The front hubs are 108 mm which prevents using later wheels. They wont fit over the front hubs. There are alot of 8 lug 16" OEM wheels and 6 lug 15" wheels, but I havn't found 6 lug 16" at any of the local salvage yards. What vehicles did they come on? I posted a WTB ad.

I found a set of H3 hummer wheels that have the right bolt pattern and almost fit the hub, Can these be opened up? how so?
any other ideas? 16 rims.jpg

Those H3 wheels should fit, BUT you'd need some spacers as the offset is pretty big. For what your looking for it's going to be tough, only things I could think of that would fit your quest is what they used to call heavy half tons. I think you'll wind up getting the later rims and opening up the centers to fit.

I actually have H3 brakes on the front of my 88 Suburban.

the H3 rims show to be 100mm and my truck is supposed to be 108mm. I havent tried any on, but dont think they will fit. How would you open them up?

You will not have to open a H3 wheel. Look at my brake rotor, the center opening is unmodified and has a bunch of clearance over the chevy hub. Only change I made to the stock H3 rotor was opening up the lugs holes for bigger lugs. Now the offset/backspacing is a huge issue for you. You will need to go with about 1.5 inch spacers in front and a 2.5 spacer rear, to get them close to right.
