89 RRC - Seat Covers?

I ask as we're being asked to include them on our defender covers. With the RRC ones in development I want to ensure that we're getting it right the first time.
thanks

Absolutely. And while I was joking a bit, it was only because I wanted to communicate that I'm not a big fan of the SmittyBilt seat covers that are covered in MOLLE straps, pouches, etc. A row of Molle strips or two would be really useful. I like to toss a D shackle in there, but don't trust a velcro covered pocket to keep everything in place in a rollover. It would be nice to be able to hook it or anything else heavy through a loop, hang a CamelBak off of it, etc. It's a good idea. Go for it!

RRC Covers.jpgPrototypes have been finished (pictured), a few refinements have been made and these should be ready to hit the streets in the next week or so!

They are, and thanks for the kind words! I'll be posting them on d-90.com shortly with better pictures along with our other products (covers for other models of Rovers, spare tire covers, etc.) I'm wary to discuss too much here, I've been trying to become a site sponsor for some time so that I can list them but can't get any response to my inquiries on how to do so.

They're just what I've been looking for. Will be staying tuned when you offer them for sale.

Could you post some photos of the backs?

I literally just got back from getting professional photos taken of them installed, I'll post them up on d-90 and on our site (www.kexbylimited.com). I have 3 sets in production now and hope to have them ready to ship early next week.

They will fit both and they're priced at $475 per set. Full info can be found on our website, final photos should be up in the next few days!

Nice, except in the photo the front seats are on the wrong sides. Left should be switched with the right. i.e. the armrests are on the inside not the outside. Definitely putting these covers on my buy list. Excellent work.

On the tan color. In the photo the color looks almost off white. Are they really that light in person, or is it just the photo?

The pictured color is a lighter tan. We're in the midst of changing suppliers and will using a more conventional khaki or tan (think the color of your dockers pants) along with grey, black and dark green.

So I grabbed a set of Kexby's (abrooks, aka Tony) rear RRC seat covers in prep for the VOT. My Disco 1 has RRC rear seats in it (a little more comfortable, has arm rest(s) for the kids, etc) so the Kexby line was perfect for my needs-at some point I'm definitely going to get a set of his covers for the D1 front seats as they come into production.

Overall fit/finish of the cover is excellent:
RRC MOLLE front.jpg
Because of the VOT configuration with the fridge in the 40 section I'm only running the 60 at the moment-but I wanted to maximize utility in my loadspace area, particularly the dead space below my cargo barrier and above my shelf-since the MOLLE strap 'tactical' version was coming into production I managed to snag a set and found the utility to be perfect for using that odd space behind the seats where vertical bins and such will not necessarily utilize-but soft pouches can nest well. The 'tires' pouch contains the powertank air gauge as well as an safety seal tire repair kit. The smaller Kifaru pouch next to it has FRS radios in it. The air ratchet is actually strapped to the bottom of the cargo barrier but the integration is nearly seamless. Seats still fold forward perfectly despite the tight clearance.

For the moment most of the time I think the seat covers will be consumed by the load out, but post VOT the fridge will move to the back, the 40 section will go back in and the kiddos will be riding in the truck a lot...and then all the more I think the covers will prove their mettle.

Given that I am unaware of a comparable RRC seat cover product on the market its worth highlighting all the more that Kexby's stuff is more than just good enough-it's a quality product especially at the very reasonable prices offered for US made durable goods. Can't wait for the D1 fronts!
