93 F-350 4x4 Flatbed.......Where To Go From Here?

it can be hard to explain without an animation or visual aid.

Looking at the 4-point model, pretend that the mid mounts are stationary.

Then TWIST the chassis. left front goes down, and right rear goes down.

As that happens, the front and rear pivot pivots and allows the chassis to flex, while keeping the bed flat.

Best video i can find right now to illustrate

Hope that helps.

From what I gather, the vehicles' loaded weight and wheelbase length also need consideration. The previously linked thread noted a manufacturer recommending the three point set-up, with two points behind the cab, for shorter wheelbase, lighter load vehicles like Idasho's and my one ton's. Your 5-tonner may be whole different ballgame.

IdaSHO too bad you weren't down in SE ID, I'd scoot over to help out and do some figuring.

I've got the wife talked into one of the LMTV's as a base for our build but I'm trying to get the mounting figured out.

I have been kicking around the idea of a tool rack self loader and the camper portion attached to a tool rack so I can have a camper, flatbed that can dump, water tanker and a dump truck bed. So I'm trying to figure the best way of mounting the sub frame that isn't too complicated/spend and not only does not break the bank but won't break the truck.

this place has been a repository of information that is not found elsewhere.
Thanks for the link to the video.
