Keep the classic.
Add another Rover to the fold.

The market for good classics is growing. Plenty have been chopped up for off road use, ragged to death and others are rust buckets.
A good solid one will always command a decent sell price. If you sell it. Some Rovers get under your skin to the point that selling them is not an option.

I would go for a LR3. More options for adding parts on, a good support network and they have been out long enough for the Indy support to understand them. Plus they are actually home mechanic friendly. Brakes, suspension etc can all be done on the driveway.
Plenty of guides online to show how to change parts.
