So I have a build page on a few other sites and wanted to start one here since I have been spending more time here lately.

So to start with!

1994 4runner stock with about 180k, R150, and 4.30 gears. It was in great shape and was a great starting point for a build.

Stock

after about 3 months, I ordered ball joint spacers, Downey torsion bars, Downey rear 3" springs, and skyjacker shocks, and 33" BFG mud's

Not long after this I took it out wheeling and threw a rod thru the block on the 3.0 motor. So time to start a 4.0 1uz swap.

Swap was done for a while. I opened a shop customizing parts for people for the 1uz swap. I also started bending pipe and making sliders, roof baskets, ect. This was my first set of sliders I built and they were for me.

Decided I wanted a winch bumper. Decided to become a vendor for Sky Manufacturing. I bought there winch bumper and modified it. I also got a deal on a roof basket but didn't like it so that was short lived.

Last pic before the SAS began.

SAS begins.

I went with a 1985 front axle. I am using the Sky wide axle kit, LC62 front rotors, IFS calipers, Longfield hub gears, longfield 27 spline axle shafts, FZJ80 front Elocker with Yukon 4.88 gears. I am using Off Road Solutions double elocker wiring harness. I am using custom built 3" leaf springs for the front, Sky low pro front cross member and sky boomerang shackles.

So all said and done here's the current list

More to come

I also have a 2011 double cab Tacoma. I bought the TRD off road but liked the looks of the sport so I bought the off road so I had the locker and skid plates. I upgraded the hood to the scoop model, the mirrors and door handles to the painted version. I also painted the TRD front Skid plate to match the rest of the truck. I have a satoshi grill with Hella 500's behind it. I am running the TRD CAI and TRD exhaust, and the TRD Supercharger, NWT upper and lower eyelids, Painted fiberglass tonneau cover, I got the last Downey Off Road coil over kits and rear add a leafs, Pro Comp 285x75x16 Extreme Muds, 16x8 Raceline Renegades chrome. It is my pavement pounder and the toy hauler. I still have things to do with it as well....

wow....

How does it drive with the V8 ? Anything compared to that the 3.slow must feel like a sports car .... nice rig.

Wow! I'm usually not into modded rigs but I do like that 4runner. I really like the route you took with its evolution. I can't imagine what it must be like to row through a 5-speed with the Lexus 4.0. Nice work!

It is so much better now. It will actually get up and go. Passing cars or towing are now fun, especially on hills

The next purchase I made was while I was in Australia. It was cheaper to buy a rig then rent one for 2 months and that's how I convinced the wife I needed a Hilux.

This one was on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria State.

while there we went to Tasmania. I found another one and couldn't resist.

1uz 4runner out on a trial ride. I have pulled the rear chrome bumper and am building a new 3/16" steel bumper.

Here is a cardboard bumper design. The wings will bolt on to the rear cross bar, so they can be replaced if necessary.
