I have the Campinglab awing.
Last year I just tied on a clothesline between the top two loops where my guylines hook to when I stake the poles out.
Have to untie them when done, and I have a ton of Boeing carabiners laying around, so I took some zip ties to the holes on top of the ally part for the awning end, and made up a length of line with two of the carabiners.
This way I can take the line off and store it in the guyline/stake sack.
Also took two more of the carabiners and hooked them together to hang the Cabelas LED lantern from the rope that my guyline hooks to.
May end up using just one carabiner and a zip tie on the handle to achieve the same result.
One of my upright poles got bent last year, and I was unable to loosen the pole by using the twist lock thing that resides in the tube.
I was able to store the pole as it was at the right height to fit back into the ally head at the end of the fabric.
I took the pole off yesterday via one screw (you can see the screw at the top of the last photo) and you just pull the pole out of the black plastic plug that is connected to the ally head.
Does anyone know if you can get these poles anywhere?
I wrote Campinglabs yesterday, but perhaps they are out on a trip.
Would kind of like to get a new pole here soon in case I can make it out camping by Memorial Day weekend.
I took pliers and a rag to the pole to twist it, and it barely turns after being bent, and it will not loosen up to either extend or retract the pole.
