My birthday was fast approaching and my usual September ride into the Copper Canyon was scrapped a while back (I guess its true that when the US coughs, we get a fever :smilies27 )
Daydreaming on Google Earth, I devised a plan to celebrate my 16,436th day.
First, Chart a trail that would get me to El Rio Fuerte, following irrigation channels and other lesser roads, Second, transfer it to my Garmin and Third, make a run for it at dawn in my MTB while being back for breakfast at 10 with my family, so no one worries.
So off I went.
Far off, my halfway point.
Getting closer and looking out for the damn Perros (Dogs).
The Rio Fuerte, after two dams, flowing all the way from the Tarahumara Sierras,
On the way back, a nice, improvised way to cross Mex-5 Highway.
.
Saludos from impoverished Mexico. :victory:
