A few hours in the Book Cliffs

I wanted to get out with my Jeep for a few hours today, and ended up exploring an area of the Book Cliffs I have not been to before, just west of the Colorado/Utah state line. The roads were easy, but the scenery was great, and I didn't see another vehicle the whole time.

It can get pretty hot in the valley....90's-100's, but it cools off once you get higher into the mountains. Certainly not as cool as some of the higher ranges around here, but cool enough to be comfortable

The old state line marker

I always enjoy your photos and reports. Not to hijack, but I love this old marker. I just want a pic of my car next to it.

Take a long time to get there at 50mph though.
