a few questions about an east coast Defender

Does anyone know anything about this Defender (link) listed on eBay? Any thoughts about it otherwise?

I haven't seen this particular Rover come up before, I've got an email out to the seller but thought I'd ask here too.

Thank you!

Rovers Out East always has a cool rotating stock... he doesn't seem to deal with the cherry restos as much so his prices are always very reasonable. I talked to him about a few trucks on a couple different occasions and would have no hesitations dealing with him.

Check d-90.com for some "alternate opinions" on his fleet.

But keep in mind he's selling extremely desirable (in the US) 25+ y/o Defenders at 1/4 to 1/2 their normal going rate. Some TLC may be required!

I assume you know the dates of when that engine and that transmission were actually produced right?

Totally cool to buy a truck with a completely different drive-train, but also good to ask lots of questions when you do.

Not saying anything is wrong with it, just walk in with your eyes open.

I spent several years trying to figure out what defender to buy, and after driving several i found one i liked. This seems like a very good buy for the starting bid price. I found several i would have liked to buy but i learned in a hurry that right hand drive wasent for me. Good luck in your search and take your time as its much easier to look back on a truck you should have bought and be SAD :( then to look at a truck you bought and are stuck with.

Cheers Ed
