If only that were the case, lol!!! Naw I had actually made a reservation to have them do the work for me on a Saturday since I live in Yuma and my work schedule is so iffy for a Friday OT day that i thought it better to get it done on a Saturday, plus it gave me time to explore the area on foot, very gorgeous are and I will be returning at some point to that shop.

Well the parts are starting to arrive. Got the Quik Fists and the Transit Lock. The small rear seat is now out of the Jeep and the measurements will hopefully be taken tomorrow night and materials purchased Friday. YPG has a nice wood shop so I should be able to cut and assemble everything in an afternoon, just gunna have to find out their times again.

Awning should be here tomorrow and the fridge should hopefully show up at some point.

The 4.10 gears should also be here before the end of the week too. Gunna be a busy time over the next year getting all these new toys installed, but fun at the same time.

Can you tell me about the ride quality of the Frankenlift II vs. stock. Also, what size tires are you running and what would you run with the 4.10's?

The ride is better than stock I believe. I am currently running 255/70/16 size BFG All Terrains, I could go higher but when I go off road I like to have the most flex possible without having to risk loosing a fender flare to too much tire contact between the outside edge of the tire and fender flare. It is also the same size I plan to run when I upgrade to the 4.10s. However if you wanted you could run a 265/70/16 or maybe even a 235/85/16. Another note about ride quality though is that since you may upgrade your tire to an offroad tire, those off road tires have some heavy duty ply work inside them and as a result on road bumps may be felt more or at least seem to sound louder in your rig as a result of that stronger reinforcement. The off road feel is usually better since you are running a lower tire pressure and thus that toughness is used to absorb rocks and the terrain through its ability to "mold" around it and act like a suspension component to make the ride smooth when you are offroad.

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking about running 235 85r16. I think the skinny tire will have less rubbing issues on suspension components and such. From what I've read on LOST, several people are running that size without spacers or new offset rims. My biggest concern is gearing with that tire size and 3.73 gears.

I'm running the 265-70-16 BFG ATs now and tried a buddys 235-85-16s over the last weekend, looked good but I could tell from just taking off I had lost some power, fuel mileage according to the scan gauge showed a drop as well. Ran them about 110 miles total, I may run them or 265-75s in the future but not until I get the 4.10s ( that's sitting in my Living Room) installed. Lot rougher ride as well.

Well some of the toys arrived last week and I was finally able to pick them up at the front office of the apartment this past Friday.

I got the Universal Mounting kit with the ARB Awning and the brackets are serious business. Been spending the weekend trying to figure out how to get them incorporated to the Mopar Jeep roof basket and think I might have something. I'll get some pics of it tomorrow after it goes for its first road test tomorrow to and from work (50 miles round trip at all range of speeds and wind contact). Drove it around town a bit this evening and didn't hear any adverse noise from them being mounted, even had the windows down and radio off to try and help listen for any "new" noises. I am optimistic the setup should work just fine. I plan on having the mounts being a permanent feature and the awning actually serving a dual purpose, one of course on the Jeep, and the other as perhaps and extra shade for the apt patio, but time will tell on that.

The Dana30a 4.10 gears showed up as well, they looked a little sketchy at first condition-wise but a gear friend I have took a look at them and assured me they would be fine despite their shipping flaws.

I also received the Engel Transit Lock for my Engel 45 fridge/freezer that will hopefully be showing up soon. Once that arrives I will have something physical to test my designed mounting platform with in the Jeep. Essentially I'll be testing the early design against dimensions found online of the fridge and transit lock to be sure it will work accordingly space-wise. Then if it passes that i'll be checking to see if the weight and forces of acceleration and braking can be sustained by the design.

I'll try to get the Engel and deck all put back together by this weekend so you can grab some ideas. Need anymore measurements while I have it all apart? Let me know.

well I got the ARB Awning rigged up nicely with the Mopar Jeep Roof Basket, extremely sturdy via help of the three mega durable ARB Brackets I purchased as well with the awning. While I was wrenching with my buddy from work we also installed my "long awaiting to be done" hitch wiring. (I've had the wiring for about 2 years now, and only towed a trailer "illegally" once.) Looks good to I must add...pics to be added once the camera battery is charged and the pics are taken.

Would be great to see what yours is looking like Mike, but i won't be making the run this weekend due to work reasons unfortunately. Are you using the Slide Lok as well with your Engel? I got it for my 45 to use as a solid base to drill into my platform once I have the right one built for the necessary job at hand. Still actually waiting for the fridge and transit bag to arrive to do the first test fitment, but I am optimistic. If you could snap some pics of your current setup. if you don't mind, and share them that wold be AWEsome. Thanks!!

Will do. Sent you a pm too. Yes using the slide lock on the deck i built to hold it. It does a fine job and doesn't sway at all. I cant remember where I posted pics of it on here or LOST (fab section)...but will put them up on both again.

15.5 x 26.5 -frame
15.5 x 28.5- plywood (longer to cover length of Engle into cargo area)

6 x1x1- front legs, couldn't get rear leg meausrments. They are about 2 inches and 4 inches. I also dont know the angles that I made the cuts at, just eyeballed it.

I covered it in some auto carpeting that I picked up from a local upholstery shop for a few bucks.

Mike thank you for that post. You have provided some extra thought for my design. Looks similar to what I am looking to do jsut that I know mine will be taller since I feel I want to put a dedicated battery for the fridge underneath it. I will be sure to get pics up of mine once it is completed and installed.
