A new Adventure Mobile

Intro: I'm Garrett. I'm transitioning from the Jeep world to the camper world.

As some of you know, my Jeep is for sale. I've moved to a new vehicle which is more suited to my style of outdoor adventure. So far, this vehicle will go to all the same places my other Jeep has gone to.

The reasoning behind this move is this: Usually hardcore trails are short and we come back to base camp. My Jeep friends are awesome so I'd like to continue camping with the group and then hitch a ride on the Hammers or John Bull difficult trails.

Anyways, since I'm anticipating some harassment from the Jeepers I'm leaving, let's just get this over with!

Yea, not too much which is nice!
Immediately will be a more modern dual battery system, CB radio and deep clean since the PO was a smoker and it smells funky.

There's a member on here by the name of WhereTheHellIsJames, he does some pretty cool custom vinyl work that would look excellent on that westy!

Add some armor to that thing and its perfect!

Perhaps way down the line. I'd drop a TDI in before syncro though. I'm also putting in a bumpin' sound system for the tunes...oh, and I may take off those hubcaps for the all black rims - maybe make them glossy with a touch of silver...who knows!

Generations of rear engine VW Buses crossed Africa and the world without 4x4. Some good AT (or MT) tires, and you will be surprised where your hotness will get you. You will miss the extra low 1st gear of the Syncro before you miss the 4x4. And DEFINITELY chunk those hubcaps and go all black

haha - I'm done breaking things. I was drooling over your 4WC in Big Bear. This will take me to all the trails I've done to get to a campground. So yea, no more 4x4 in the rocks, BUT having already talked to a few Jeep friends, they don't hate me enough to not give a passenger seat on the tough stuff....as long as the fridge has a cold one when we get back! :elkgrin:

Before purchasing, I joined TheSamba, read every applicable GoWesty article, researched Vanaru, Busdepot, Van-cafe, Smallcarperformance, etc. I had a good grasp of what I was looking for and knew I found something special. :chef:
