It would seem that way. Let me guess... you have trouble keeping the ladies away too?:victory:
Man, it's a curse, isn't it? I've had this one I haven't been able to lose for over 30 years...:coffeedrink:

An ARB locker in front??? I would think you'd blow the stock axles outta that thing? Definitely the weakest link on an Fj. Unless you're running stock tires? Idk I guess. I'd love more traction up front but figured I'd need to do a SAS to do it? Any issues??

I'm running 34" Toyo MT's on mine, and I've yet to break a CV in 130,000 miles (incl. a lot of wheeling). You have to be aware of the limitations of a locked diff on an IFS truck, i.e. you can't be heavy with the throttle when it's locked (front or rear), and you can't lock it when the the front wheels are turned sharp and stuck in something. Mine is helped a lot by my Inchworm 4.7:1 transfer case too - I can crawl up/over obstacles without too much skinny pedal.
Lots of guys with 4th Gen 4Runners (same drivetrain) have locked fronts and don't have issues.
But lots of guys who think they need a front locker on an IFS front need to heed what 1911 succinctly described.
Write it down on a piece of paper and tape it to their sun visor; then have it tattooed backwards on their forehead so they can clearly read it in their rear-view mirror.
