Additional cargo tie downs for a 14' Rubi Unlimited

Hey All,

Recently removed my rear seat on my 14' Rubicon Unlimited. I'd like to put additional tie downs in the back.

Does anyone out there make tie downs that I can place under the existing floor bolts (the ones used that connect the rear seat to the floor). I'm wondering if there are "washer" type tie downs I can just pop onto the existing floor bolts in the rear.

The First thing that comes to mind is head over to your local marine/boat store or even the RV camping shops.. As seen here:

Also, having worked for a moving company.. They took one of the smaller panel vans and put 2 strands of a track type system into the bed.. which allows for hooked ties downs and these hooks can be adjust and placed into different holes along these tracks. I've done something similar to our jeep.. but It's attached to my security cover suspended above the cargo area..

Search for bed bolts. Several sites sell them. They are removable eye bolts.

I've got these and like them a lot. Very heavy duty, plus the folks at Expedition Exchange are awesome to deal with. They also have the more traditional loop type tie-downs.

I have some of these mounted in the back of my Jeep.

Yeah, not the cheapest option. But I liked that they weren't just crimped shut, like the others I found. I imagine that would be the weak spot. Plus I only needed a few, so I spent an extra $12 perhaps. I can treat myself to the good stuff once in a while......

This is closer to what I'm looking for. I'd like to find one that has a hole on the bracket that fits existing rear floor bolts. The search continues!

The square hole in the bracket is 3/8 of an inch. I would need to drill an 18mm hole through the bracket to make it fit with my floor bolts.

Since: 3/8" = 0.375" and 18mm = 0.709"

Do you think that bracket is large enough to handle an 18mm hole?
