Thanks guys
my first inclination is usually to think whatever I've done is crap and start over to make it better. So I definitely had some builders remorse when it first went on the truck this morning. Seemed really tall and awkward, but hoping most of that will get fixed with final fitment of lockers and flat bed. Right now it looks like a normal camper floating 22" up for no apparent reason
We got stuck on height some as well as to have a full hard sided pop up with a third articulating wall up front, there are some minimum heights for each wall, which we are at exactly. We also had to accommodate surfboards not mounted on top of solar panels and 1300 watts of solar.
Still playing with widths. I've been drawing the design up in sketchup to have most of the design work done prior to arrival as the CAD guys can increase your bill quickly. Because the camper was originally built for our MOG, it is narrower than the track width of our truck by 6.5". Probably going with fender flares and a flat bed to match as I'd prefer to be narrower and if the final weight matches up well with a 350/3500, we might switch chassis (insert Heather reaching for her gun here). The length is fine, but the 9'8" track width really leaves you feeling big in some circumstances.
