Another vote for the green elephant poles. I think I paid about $50 for each pair. I like the tips designed to go through the grommets in those cheap blue tarps but you can also use the rubber ball tip to support the center of a tarp without a grommet. Easy to adjust and seem pretty sturdy.

I have the Green Elephant poles. Haven’t used them much but they work fine and seem decent quality.

I love these poles:
Cheap, lightweight (1.1 lbs each), sturdy, very adjustable, and you can run a cord through the holes at the top,
