Airbag Recall Letter from Mitsu

I was able to complete the airbag recall at my local dealer; in and out in 30 mins with a new driver's side airbag!

I got my letter, but I haven't taken my Montero to the dealership, mainly because right now it is parked with no battery...too busy with other things to do anything to the Montero at the moment

Did they replace the airbag? My horn is stuck on so maybe I should do the recall so it's fixed.

They don’t replace the entire airbag module, only the inflator disc. That is the problem….the inflator….too much boom.

You should, if for no other reason than to provide an interesting day to a bored Mitsu tech…….Monteros are few and far between at dealerships these days. 2 more years and mine turns 25
