AirDownGearUp has been selling storage, sleeper, drawer and cooking systems since 2017. We launched the business on the Landcruiser platform, and have since expanded into other vehicles. We have a system for the 60,80,100 and 200 series Land Cruiser and associated LX's.
As an overview of the SS1; it is a modular system that can be configured as a simple storage platform, storage+sleeper, or the full storage+sleeper+drawer system, with the ability to install drawers individually. The drawers are full-extension, ball-bearing, lock-in and lock-out with a keyed locking option available. The drawers and sleeper can be purchased up front or added later and retrofitted. The sleeper is designed to stow on top of the drawers, allowing the 2nd row to be retained and completely unaffected. To deploy the sleeper, you tilt the 2nd row forward and flip the sleeper onto the seat backs. As far as we can tell, we sell the only integrated, convertible sleeper drawer system. You can also easily remove the sleeper if that does not fit your use case and run just the drawers.
The system is comprised of CNC cut panels, 3D printed components, machined aluminum and features recessed mounting hardware, fold-up wings to retain access to the side cubbies, cargo tie downs and much more. Our system is built on an all aluminum frame which is bolted directly to the vehicle body with our solid alumium machined anchor bars and is never subject to trapping moisture causing mold/mildew. With no wood screws to loosen over time, this system will provide the performance you expect over the lifetime of the vehicle.
We also have a slide-out table that attaches to the underside of the drawer, providing a massively useful work surface that can be used with the drawer extended or stowed. A full dedicated kitchen with provisions for a fridge slide, stove tray and prep surface are available as well.
