Airing out the ARB Simpson II RTT (pics)

Since its been packed up for most of the winter, I decided to deploy the RTT, and let it air out a little - maybe snap a few pics. Sadly, they're only driveway shots again. I'm eager to get back out into the wilderness sometime soon.

Thanks, Martyn! We share it with our neighbors. If you pull up as close as you can to the garage, it can accommodate three whole vehicles!

Man-o-man... at some point in the future my path will take me toward a RTT or a 4WC.

Thanks, Joel! I only wish it didn't spend so much time in the driveway. It looks like its going to be a busy summer, but I can still count my planned outings on only one hand. Nothing impromptu yet, either.

I'd be more worried about the puddle at the bottom!

Getting out of bed in a RTT to pay a visit to the "porcelain bush" is no fun in the middle of the night. But thats my only gripe about RTTs, they are great! How solid is the fold out flap portion of this type of RTT? Does it move a lot when you are getting in and out? My tent is a Maggiolina, so no cantilevered out portion but less space inside probably, and bigger when closed. Still, the best money I ever spent on a camping setup.

The cantilevered portion feels sturdy - I'd say its sturdy enough for... vigorous in-tent antics, whatever they may be. The hinges are extremely beefy, the fabric is reinforced with nylon straps, and the ladder can be set to bear some of the load.

eewwww. that seals it, I'm going out the door. Actually the wife would kill me if I tried to do either (bottle or door). I hate being domesticated.
