Bringing the car along for the next trip. Subaru Crosstrek with manual transmission. Blue Ox Tow bar and brake setup that works like a charm.

Lookin' good!

Sorry if I missed it, but Im curious to know what you are running for axle weights.

Have you scaled the truck with the camper loaded, and what were your weights front and rear?

Total truck/camper weight dry was 16,000 lbs. Not sure of the exact ratio, but it was right when I built it.

Hey Carl updates are looking good. Just curious, are you crossing the border in the Vancouver area? If so let me know and I will give you a good travel route that you will love. Cheers, Chilli..:)

Hi Chili,

The plan is to meander north once we hit the coast from CO through CA, OR and WA. We'll be taking the San Juan Ferries to the islands and then to Victoria. Camping and sightseeing on the island after visiting family and then on to mainland BC from there. Want to hook up somewhere along the way? Going to be spending the whole month sight seeing, eating seafood and having a good time.

Nice looking racks you have monted there Carl. While you are on Vancouver Island be sure to visit Uculet and the surrounding area. Beautiful forests with old groth trees and a sealine that is a surfers paradise. The whole area is unspoiled and breathtaking. I presume the ferry that takes you to the mainland lands at Horeshoe bay. Instead of driving towards Vancouver, turn left and head to the Squamish, Whistler, and then Pemberton route. Once you get to Pemberton take the road to Lilloet, and then further towards the Fraser river. Once you are there you will have the whole of the interior of B.C. to chose from. The drive will take you from a wet and lush green area through the mountains and into the dry interior of B.C. The road after Pemberton has some hairpin turns and switch backs but if I could do it in my old rig pulling a trailer then you can certainly do it in your beast. Cheers, Chilli..:)
