I like a countertop mounted filler port.

We've used ours more than a few times, when a hose simply didn't work.

We've filled using a 2.5 gal water jug more than a few times.

Takes a while with a 36 gallon tank, but it works :sombrero:

Is also handy for adding chemicals (occasional bleach) for cleaning/sanitizing as well as RV antifreeze when parked and un-used during cold weather.

Tankless water heater done!

Got this part of the project buttoned up now, seems to work great and install came out pretty clean. I might add a louvered vent in the top of door if I think it needs it but well see how it works this weekend.

Looks really good!

Thanks!

Since the rear boxes are narrowed to fit the camper there is limited space for cargo now. Since the standard shelves didn't fit anymore I made a narrow shelf that happens to fit my compressor and emergency flasher just fine. I might add another above it to carry a few more small items.

Got out in the rig a couple weekends ago for a shake down run in the Tahoe Wilderness. We ended up camping at Bowman Lake and took a fun route through some pretty rough road to get there.
The truck felt great and had no problem pulling off the extra weight of the new bed even with 2 dirt bikes front and rear and flew right up the mountain passes like a champ. I like the Agile Off Road tuned fox shocks so far, great road manners and more plushness off road. We took the truck through a couple pretty gnarly sections to set camp. I think the daystar airbag cradles really helped with letting the rear axle flex as intended and the rear spring mounted bed mounts worked well at keeping the bed n camper flat while the frame flexed, the main challenge was picking a line that didn't let the camper rock into any tree branches but she ate the nasty rocky stuff up with ease.
All the extra storage in the Ute bed is awesome and the pull out gas grill is super nice to have. Setting up and breaking camp is definitely quicker without having to Tetris so much crap into the camper for travel mode now. The new fridge and solar rules as well.
All in all I'm really stoked on this set-up, can't wait for the next trip!

PICS!!

Just got back from a 2 week get away through Mojave & DeathValley. Had a great time even with some foul weather we encountered through Mojave at first. The wet conditions made driving the sand really good actually, I took our psi down to 40/30 and pretty much tractored through everything with ease.
We used the Mojave rd book and followed along with the milage, the history lessons from the book made it very interesting. Soda Lake was way to wet to cross so we went around it via Baker>Razor then we took it all the way to the water crossing ( which was quite deep from all the rain) before having to hit the highway to Barstow.
Here's a few pics from the Mojave Rd.
