Been using my exficio for the last 8 months straight. Two pair, wash one out during each shower and is air dried for my next clothes change. Awesome. I have had them for years only used them for travel. Now at my FOB I would not trade them for anything.

LuLu Lemon makes some nice boxers for gents. 20 bucks a pair but made of synthetic materials that are far more comfortable then cotton.

I spent 7 years living on motorcycles and ExOfficio boxer briefs was my choice of skivvies. Patagonia stuff took on a stink in no time but the ExOfficio stuff never got an odor. I like their t shirts as well for lack of odor and they held up well to long term usage.

The poll has it right. ExO is the best stuff. Tried Patagonia, cotton (who hasn't) Duluth Trading Co., silk, and REI and none are as comfortable or durable as ExO.

Egad... another Metrosexual Exposexuals thread.

Nah. No one sees my underwear but my lady (and then hopefully not for long nudge nudge wink wink ;)) so this topic really has nothing to do with fashion (at least from my perspective)

Garment technology -- fabrics and construction -- have come a long way in the last 10 years. You'd be a fool not to explore the newer options for health and comfort on longer trips. As far as underwear goes, cotton is in many ways obsolete.

Unless you are still over landing on a horse, you have kept up with technological advancements in other areas. Why not your skivvies?

If we are really honest about it, isn't it kind of about the fashion? If it wasn't, you wouldn't have been compelled to preface your statement.

You did make an excellent point about breaking convention and trying out new fabric technologies.

Damn straight Sonny... A lot of wisdom is shared at Walmarts. Recently a fellow Walmart Parking-Lot Camper shared his underwear tip with the group:

Triple X size Walmart whitie tighties, worn over 'Grampers' (disposable diapers for Grandpa) are so inexpensive, if there is any leakage, he discards them too.

Ex boxers in black for me.
I have eight pair and eight of the Duluth too, but I cannot stand the button on them.
