Lol!

According to my Korean War veteran grandfather: "Duct Tape won the war!"
I don't know if Duct Tape was even around back then but I always laughed when he said that.

Here's one of my favorite "in the field" fixes. I had to do this on all 4 corners when my rack broke.
70mph truck speed plus 50mph desert headwind = 120mph airspeed. The tent didn't budge.

PS- I've ditched Duct Tape and now only carry Gorilla Tape.

I'll post a pic tonight but heres the story. A buddy of mine broke the second spring on his xterra while out wheeling. He didn't realize until he got back home and his rig was sitting funny and the spring was sticking out to the side. So, he did what any wheeler would do, decided to get a lift kit.

The only problem was it was a 6 week wait or so. We ended up putting heavy duty hose clamps around it to hold the spring in, then to make sure they didn't move we wrapped it in duct tape. Funny thing is everyone just thought it was duct tapped together. Good thing he didn't get caught by the cops but it held up quite well and made the vehicle sit level again.

The rear bumper on my old D1 was held on mostly with duct tape... never underestimate its powers...:ylsmoke:

I have to say duct tape makes excellent loc-tite. About the only time duct tape has really really saved my *** before, though I love duct tape...

Duck tape camper = awesome. Can you say the definition of cheap wheeling.

Could duck or duct tape be used as a waterproof finish instead of paint?

Taking things to a whole 'nuther level, here's a story someone sent me.

Apparently a bear attacked his plane while parked in a remote field up in AK. He had not cleaned out the inside after a long fishing trip and the bear smelled it.

He had 2 new tires, 3 cases of Duct Tape and several rolls of cellophane delivered. Then went about repairing the plane so he could fly it home.

Gutsy, to say the least.
