Allwine JK Build Thread

I just finished my switch panel last night. This interfaces with an S-Pod relay panel under the hood. I took the factory dash panel and using a little schmutz and some MDF, I fabricated this panel. I also included a little storage tray for phones or what have you. These are Carling switches. Since it would be next to impossible to get these switches out once the panel was done, I added a few extras for future mods. So that means there are two switches for the future winch and two switches for futur E-lockers.

OK, one more update. You will notice the two black metal bars on either side of the center console.... These are some mounting brackets I made up to hold the navigation netbook and the GPS puck. I used factory bolt hold to locate the mounting bars. It took a little work to get them bent correctly but I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Very cool work on the metal mounts. And those switches look good. A little bit in your face, but functional. Definitely better than my Daystar switch mount that is perfectly designed to accidentaly hit switches when you shift in and out of 4wd

Ome

I own an 08 rubicon. I suggest you look at the OME kits you can go a vairety of heights and if you add heavy duty winch bumpers and winch plus rear tire carrier then you will need the extra spring strength. Take a look at JK forum, there is a lot of really good info there.

The problem with JK Forum is that they are heavily censored; they will delete threads and the accounts of members that post them if the subject is contrary to their paying vendors' wares and opinions.
For unbiased JK advice, look at Jeep Forum in the JK technical area.

Our JK build is finally entering the next stage of work. Today I ordered my Goodyear Duratracs (315/65-17) and my Pro Comp 8179 Wheels!! I am very excited to get them in next week!

Wow, fantastic attention to detail! I'm jonesing for a JKU in the worst way, but I'll probably wait another couple years to pick one up and get the new V6 for the additional power. I'll definitely be paying attention to this build as it continues to develop.

Thanks! The ultimate goal is to do a hemi swap when it is no longer my daily driver.
