Anyone know of a readily available alternator for the 300tdi? I had one rebuilt, but I don't think it works properly. I'd like to find something available locally at Autozone or NAPA. Anyone have any ideas? My 300tdi is in a 1997 D1.
Brookwells (in the UK) sells a non-Lucas alternator made by Denso. I don't know the part number (and they probably won't tell you), but it has the look of a standard alternator from the likes of GM or Ford.
