After 32 years and 20K miles of amazing trips and adventures, I'm regretfully selling my beloved Deuce and a Half, the Mojave Express. I love it to death, but it simply has outgrown me (meaning I'm not a young man anymore). I could go on and on and list everything that I have replaced, rebuilt or added, but that would take a page or two. Instead I'll hit the high spots, and if you're interested we can discuss it further. The truck was originally a fire fighter stationed at Camp Roberts, CA. Because it was a fire truck, it was not thrashed and abused like so many are. Total (verified) miles on the truck are 28,000. Engine is the stock multifuel turbo diesel. The head gaskets have been replaced with the new style ones and the engine was detailed and painted at that time. Many say it's the nicest Deuce engine they have ever seen. It starts instantly and runs perfectly. The truck has lived in a steel building for the past 24 years and is in excellent condition. Upgrades include hydraulic power steering, 95% new Goodyear 11-20R G-177 radials, new transfer case, new brake shoes and wheel cylinders and new rear leaf springs. The camper box is custom built (obviously) and framed with 1.5" steel tubing. The interior features a bathroom with porcelain toilet, 6 cubic foot propane fridge, stove / oven, catalytic wall heater, and solid oak cabinets. The back of the truck cab has been cut to make a "crouch through" to allow access to the camper, and a neoprene boot seals it and allows the necessary flex. The camper sleeps 3-4. The vehicle was originally designed for multi week trips to Baja, Mexico. The wide aisle floorplan allows two full size dirt bikes to be carried and / or lots of additional cargo. Included is the matching M105 cargo trailer with tarp and heavy duty internal gear rack. The truck is legitimately registered in California as a motorhome and exempt from smog checks. Price $35K.

I forgot to mention the truck is located in Fallbrook, CA (North County San Diego). I did post the truck for sale on EP last year. I couldn't figure out how to view the old ad so I posted a new one. (Sorry, I'm a tech - dinosaur).

A few more tidbits of info - When I bought the truck the verified mileage was 8000. The oil has been changed every 1000 - 1200 miles. Engine runs perfectly. Early on I installed a Racor three stage marine fuel filter to replace the stock # 1 filter. Fuel capacity is 100 gallons (diesel). Propane capacity is 13 gallons. The Deuce and a half platform makes for an amazing overlanding vehicle for the serious enthusiast. If you ever imagined building one yourself, you can save a bunch of time and money as this one is ready to go immediately. Price has been reduced to $30K OBO.

Frankly, if I were in the market for a doomsday overlander, that would be it! Considering.....I'd say it's priced right. But, a few more details might be in order.....
Any Solar?
Shore Power & amp service?
Water and black water capacity?
Shower? Water heater?
Are air tanks good?
Anyway to cool the cab/A/C?
Being built for Baja, how much insulation is there?
Stereo? LOL
