Ive seen a few Ambulance coversions on here and decided to try and convert one to a slide on .
Slideons are a little pricey here in OZ.
Plans are to strip the interior , then a simple refit. Remove the skirts to floor level,
a forty five degree cut on the rear for a better departure .
The body is alloy clad polystyrene 50mm thick and all doors are the same thickness.
Rear door will be shortened to accomadate the angle cut and a mesh screen made up ,this will create a nearly full width awning window for the rear.
The two other doors will be cut in half and re hinged from the top, the lower half openings will be made into recesses with
alloy backing for the storage of jerry cans ,high lift jack ect ------ anyways heres the junk![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
started to strip the inside , and found that the glue the use to hold these things together was a lot stronger then i thought, reciprocating saw so so , 4" grinder noisy dusty not so great . So hit bunnings and grabbed on of these air chisels, now the weapon of choice mmmm
right side overheads and lower benchs removed.
Love to cut n slash![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
