Don't have a thread or anything. I just happened to see these on amazon one day and since it was cheap I ordered a few. They area almost exactly the same. They are bright enough for me, even just running 2 at a time (have them hooked to dome right and dome left switches) lights up the whole inside.

Sorry about the mess. I'm working a new job and in a temporary living situation that doesn't allow me to miss this conversion yet.

Yeah see above, 4 would be plenty. I just didn't want to deal with the holes in the headliner at this point. I was in a rush to get everything ready before I had to vacate my previous house.

Also, I would recommend the whynter fridge over the craftsman "coolers". That thing will freeze anything in no time and can be powered on 12v dc or 110vac. It'll even switch automatically for you when you plug your shore power in. So far it's been my favorite add on to the van.

How many lights total are on in this picture, and are these the 250 Lm or the 360 Lm version?

5 lights, 250 version.

Would have had six but the maxxair fan took up one of the holes and I was in a hurry and decided not to mess with it. 5 is way bright enough for me.

They look ideal. Too bad they don't have two intensity options... I suppose they could be modified or have fewer of them on at a time vs 4 or 8... although if they're too bright just add smaller lights.

So what I did since I have two switches on my panel (rear dome right and rear dome left). I wired 2 of them to one side and 3 of them to the other side. I can either have all on or 3 on or 2 on. If I'm camping I usually just use two because it's bright enough for most tasks. It is nice to have the other three though for when you really need the light.

Thanks! I have 9 positions in mine (Type III), but it looks like I could probably get away with 6 or 8 and be just fine. I'm also planning on putting mine on dimmer switches, but I'll probably wire them for left and right side separately anyway.

Not sure how these will react with a dimmer. They are cheap so I'm sure the bulbs aren't fancy dimmer compatible ones. Maybe? Who knows.

I've just been trying to get rid of the most halogen as possible. I even got some floods off amazon and made up some steel flanges to replace the front side and rear scene lights. Those stock units eat battery like crazy.

I'm not sure about the dimmers either, but I have seen some that claim they will work with any LED light, so we'll see.

Yep, Halogen lights suck up the juice, not to mention the heat they put out.
