I have a projet for a long term to keep me here. I will be driving in Nebraska and Montana and Alberta all the time on the bad roads. I have a pickup already but it is big and has broken already. What I want is like my series 90 at home.

Hakken is ok but i cannot bring it here. I can get a lexus gx or a fj cruiser petrol for my work but i need to change pneumatics and engine controls. Is this not possible here? I have not time and I prefer too buy finished.

Anything is possible with enough money. The problem is finding someone that is doing this to an LC. Most companies here in the states focus more on building LC's for technical trails not Rally driving. A couple of companies I can think of that might be able to do what you want would be Proffits or Slee. Other than that you will find private shops building for things like the Baja 1000 style of driving.

I would start by contacting them and talking about what you want to do. They are always up for a challenge. Again.. It wont be cheap though.... Good luck and keep us in the loop on what you find and end up with. I for one would love to see a LC built rally truck here in the states.

You Europeans with your rally.... ;)

The "rally" that Toyota has sponsored the Landcruiser in, is the greatest of them all: DAKAR The UZJ100 have performed very well in the Production Class the past decade. And, there are plenty of them here in the US. And there are plenty of people and vendors here in the US to help you build one up for rally. Forget about a 70/75 or 90 in the US. But you might find one in Central America you could import if its >25 years old.

Sorry series 100 is for fat old Germans and Suisse. it drive like tatra but get stuck often. i am still young man and need to impress girls :) A series 90 or 120 has much more to do if you can drive.

is there another web site for American rally drivers?

What is your budget? I tend to build my vehicles a bit more towards this type than many... I have some background with high performance AWD cars built for daily driving dirt roads along with snow/ice.... when applied to a US 4x4 you get rally raid with technical trail ability.
