It certainly does continue. Continues to go into debt . . .

Sorry, only kidding. It's 5 on Friday. I'm getting itchy to hit the bar.

Hi mountainpete,
I take it that you will be keeping the Tacoma? The last time we PM'd you mentionned that something new may be on the way but I take it from the new addition that the Taco is staying. For my own curriosity, who did you get them from? My OME 881 coils are not holding up to the added weight of the bumper and winch up front so I've been saving my pennies for some Donahoe coils. I'm also currious to see how well they do hold up to our salty roads. I'll got snap a few pics of my OME coils, pretty sad looking after 21 months of service.
Cheers,
P

P,

I still might swap out to an 07 Taco this spring - it's still a 50/50 chance. But I got tired of waiting and need to start making plans for my own trip to the Arctic Ocean this August.

I ended up getting the suspension from Demello. I also picked up a 10 pack of Deavers, bolt-on sliders and a rear hybrid bumper (still waiting for the last one as he didn't have any bumpers in stock).

Demello was by far the fastest to get the plated version. The Canadian dealer in Calgary estimated almost a month longer wait. Demello was slightly cheaper too.

Pete,
Tell us more about your planned trip to the Arctic Ocean!
As for the suspension, sliders and bumper do keep us posted on progress! How did you make out with shipping? Did you go directly to Canada?
Cheers ,

Well my wife said yes, I booked the time off work and the planning is starting... Calgary to Prudhoe Bay. Three weeks out exploring around Yukon and Alaska. Still working on the details, but it's a go ;)

Shipping went really well. I had it sent right here to Canada via UPS. The shipping was a few hundred $$ in the end, but it was still cheaper than buying the Donahoe parts in Canada or driving down to the US and picking it up at a depot and driving back. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

I'm going to do the suspension & sliders soon - I have a product review to finish off first...

Great stuff! Looking forward to hearing your thoughs on the new suspension and sliders. To follow up on my previous post: "I'm also currious to see how well they do hold up to our salty roads. I'll got snap a few pics of my OME coils, pretty sad looking after 21 months of service."
Here is a picture of the OME 881 coils.
