Just saw your article in 4WD Toy. Nice!!!
Oh yeah! How did it turn out? I haven't seen it yet. It was supposed to be an article about the bed conversions and it ended up being about the whole rig, the rig was really unprepared for a photo shoot.

Awesome work, any idea of the weight difference b/t the stock bed and your creation? Not including the spare it looks like it wold be lighter? We could never get away with out tire coverage in PA, that would be a cop magnet but it looks great:Wow1:
It is lighter than the stock bed and much lighter and lower than the trailer bed conversion. 2 people can move it easy with out the spare. Oh yeah, i have to run some hefty mud flaps around here to keep the revenue police happy.

Here's a bit of progress, the mocking up and fitting of the sliders:

Great write up, though it already looks inferior from what you have going now!
This tube bed you have going now looks fantastic. Looks to be a quick change from trailer to truck module. Do you think you will use the module much on the truck .
That is defiantly my idea of functionality.
Now, if I could only fit my bike and I inside when its raining sideways...

Thanks you guy's , I need to get back on it and finish this build.

To answer Criscokids question, yes the bed module can be bolted back up if needed, the sub frame under the tube bed was the one i made for the AT module. The only possible hang up for the module going back on will be the roll bar once its in, clearance issues......

Some photo's of the sliders with a quick coat of rattle can and dirt. I also had time to get the cb antenna mounted before heading out to SEMA.

Your Taco is insane, it makes me want to jump from the Jeep camp over to Toyota which a buddy with a Taco and runner has been trying to get me to do for a while.
Very nice build and when you did your SAS what front axle did you use, early Toy or Landcruiser ?
