There is going to be a turd storm of motorcycles on the trail next weekend. Our trip was sort of a recon trip for a motorbike ride. I'm hoping to be able to hitch a ride with someone so that I can go...
Ill get some good pictures of the scarring after I wash the truck up. I do know they arent going to buff out. Im being serious when I say this. If this Jeep didnt cost $500, and I honestly cared about it, I wouldnt take this trail. The section where the tree was cut down and we had to go around, I came very very close to putting my 1/4 pannel into a tree. And the limbs in the trail arent soft pine or small. They are pretty hard and thick. I had my gas can strapped to the roof rack, and almost took it AND the rack off! We didnt know the trail got as tight as it did, but none of us were really worried with our old trucks.
Is there a sign for the start of the K-Trail on 271? I'm going to Geary, OK tomorrow and was going to run over to Clayton and scout it out before we make our run.
Easiest way to get onto the trail is off of 9 Pines Rd and you turn onto Clayton Trail Rd... no sign, but there is an old camper trailer there. Aerostream if I remember correctly...

Hurd Creek Rd may or may not have a sign. Try it if you can, there is an obstacle pretty early and the trail may be gated... we were waiting for Mr. Leary and didnt proceed farther, so we just went back to the Shell station in Clayton.

If Joseph didnt have a locker, I dont think he would be able to cross. It is also highly rutted passed this point and will require careful driving... dont do it without a spotter me thinks.
