You should camp Jonathan. It's alot better than getting at the crack of dawn an driving 4 hours. You could put an air mattras in the back if you don't want screw with the tent.

Uwharrie final weekend i think is one or two weekends after the LR Last Run by CROC.

We should try to do another weekend together fellas or do some wheeling somewhere else. Does brown mountain close? The truck trail isnt tough but VERY long, i developed a squeak halfway through and it took forever to get through especially since i was concerned d-shaft or something else was on its way out...

Richland Gap is always a great fall/winter ride, pretty simple with nice scenery, and lots of obstacles on the bypasses. Then lunch in Boone/Blowing Rock. Can easily be done in a day linked to Brown Mtn trail.

Oh, and Jonathon- pull the rear seats and use the Disco to camp in, but must say, I love my Tentcot :)

Thats what we did a couple weeks ago, pulled the seats out and the wife and I slept in the back. Length wise it was alright, but it was pretty cramped width wise. We'll be taking the tent up next time for sure. One person in the back of a Disco would be comfortable for sure

Dale,

You want to lead the way one weekend? I've driven around the pisgah area (linville, some of the forest roads, etc) but would love to see your route. Do you recommend it when there is some snow on the ground?

I wish... My disco is uncomfortable as hell to sleep in. How tall and big are you all?

Any one got time off and can get away over the holidays? Maybe we could do a run somewhere?

Speaking of..is there somewhere in the triangle/triad area that is good for some wheeling? That sure would be easy for everyone to meet up.

Finally off the road and ready to get back to work on the DI-I came home to a couple inches of snow on it Saturday-gone by Sunday as I was headed back out.

Been on the road for the last week and a half so no real progress made. Looking to get together with Major Payne for the cargo floor soon. Still having trouble locating any one with the Ford injectors in stock-I'm thinking that Ford shut down the assembly plant for December or something.

I've got a new fuel pump to install as well.

My wife and I are heading out to the OBX and will be staying with my parents. There is a really cool area called the Alligator National Wildlife refuge out that way that has thousands of acreas wilderness (actually probably the most remote part of the state) with some cool forest roads throughout, its not really "wheeling" per say, but def a cool place to spend a day checking out. I'd be game for meeting up out there if anyone is interested.

Heck yeah! I know the area you're talking about, maybe we could spring Jonathan from the course as well (paging jgdisco2) I'll be off the week of Christmas and the next-no big plans so far so let me know a date and maybe we can get something going.
