This site is what I've been looking for, this is just awesome!
I'll be reading as many threads as I possibly can in the next few days, knowing there's a wealth of information to be found here.

A few pictures of the rig, keep in mind I'm adding a shell with a rack...

Welcome, Forget about reading, just post more pictures of your cool vehicle. Love the look of the axe mounted inside. That is cool.

C'mon, let's here some details on that rear winch too. Mounting and such?

There's been a couple times traveling solo where I backed away from an obstacle because I didn't have the ability to be pulled backwards.

Thank you guys for all the compliments!

The rear winch...
I can't begin to tell ya how this addition has been well worth the time and money invested.
I based the whole project on the hitch, talked with Bud @ BudBuilt about my concept, received his approval and went to work. Welded the risers (we made) on to the main bar, the risers have three tapped holes per, modified the BudBuilt Winch Mounting Plate to utilize the 9 mounting points. I did have to cut a section out of a U-channel under the bed for the winch to clear (look close and you can see it).

I really put it to the test after I installed it, a friend's Chevy was down to the frame with a broken front axle. Had to use another Tacoma to help anchor me down. Needless to say he's out and the winch is still under my rig.

Some may think I should've used a boat instead of a truck, this little adventure cost me a little over 5 bills, this happen before the ARB front & rear locker install.

Abandon Ship! :sombrero: Nice rig. On some of the pictures I can see a tiregate. If you don't mind I'd like to ask a few questions. Overall, how would you rate it 1-10(being the best)? Any pros and cons. Thank you.

Who's the U-Boat commander?

Wow, that is some deep water. I saw the Lowrance unit on the bottom picture of the first post, and wondered what kind of fish finder you have?

Nice truck. I really dig the regular cab pickups. Ever have the need for more space or wish you went for an extended cab? How's the 4cyl do on the highway?

Overall I would rate it an 9, however it does drop about 1/4" - 3/8" when opening it with weight of the tire add. I took it off to make way for a Sungtop.

Sometimes it gets a little tight with added gear in the cab, that's one of the reasons I decided to add a shell.
4cyl with 33's and 4:10 gears, with the truck loaded down with all the necessary gear, I can cruise around 70-75 mph (a supercharger would be nice).
