Full-moon camp spot in the dunes! A bit dusty and windy,but absolutely fantastic to sleep in the dunes. Did you ever camp in the dunes?

We're doing some #ExtremeSports at the moment. Never thought we would be doing this! Did you ever Kite Surf?
My first attempt to shoot some star trails. I know I need a darker place, but turned out cool anyway!
It's nearing xmas, and we are wandering along Brazils beaches again. Are thought are with you all, wherever you are!
Another little wood/styrofoam pontoon driven by raw people power! We were ready to swim! Were you ever afraid?

rince thoroughly everything - inside the chassis rails - all over all under- did I say everywhere ?
Then I usually thoroughly doused with diesel using a plant sprayer- spray everything twice three times 4 times.....
You'll never see a rusty diesel tank !
Kitesurfing wise - its probably the most awsome sport on the planet - but also quite dangerous !
being an old windsurfer in comparison - it is faster to learn- way more powerfull - basicly awsome !
I learnt and rode in El Yaque venezuela probably one of the best spots on the planet for windsports
Got pretty good at it but life and family got in the way !

Thanks Darin, sorry for the absence here. Been doing a lot of other stuff lately. There is only 24 hours in a day right?
We'll since I'm here I wanted to ask you all a question:
I'm having a little problem with the Sedimenter [this image is a bottom view]. This is the water separator from the diesel fuel line which sits inline right next to the fuel tank on the outside of the frame.
It got damaged a long time ago on some trails in Asia, so the little screw that sits normally at the bottom sits a bit at an angle right now. No worries there.
But last year I saw some little drops of diesel hanging on the bottom and I smeared some bondo on it. Never seen diesel drops hanging there again.
Until this week. Some of the bondo has chipped off and I see some drops of diesel hanging there again.
I have taken the sedimenter off and cleaned the gunk inside.
Due to age, I guess the bottom of the sedimenter has become rusted or maybe even porous.
What are my best options of fixing this one apart from the temporary bondo?

Coen - glad to see you back here again.
Since it is apparent there is a leak, you will need to remove the patching material and determine the extent of the damage. Since any water in the fuel will tend to settle at the bottom of the tank, the rust is likely from the water. That is the purpose of the little bleeder screw - you should drain it regularly to get the water out.
The method of repair will depend on the extent of the damage. You might be able to get away with cleaning the rust out on the inside and patching it with an epoxy (not bondo) or it might require spot welding the pin holes, or the bottom may need to be cut out and replaced with new metal and a new bleeder screw bung. Sorry, not much more detail can be given without more info.

Are there any specific design elements to this piece or are they merely just a jug to allow a slow in the fuel velocity so water can precipitate out?
If it's just a simple jug, I'd have a welder make one from stainless so rust wouldn't be an issue again. Possibly have the bottom made at a slight angle so you could move the bleeder to the side of it and bottom impact wouldn't be an issue.
