Anvil 2015 JKU Sport Overland Build

AZ4X4DUDE

Dirt road please!
Just out of curiosity, did you have to change out your gear ratio after the lift? If you didn't, are you considering doing so? Just wondering because I also have a jku sport that I'm considering lifting in the near future, want to build similar to yours! Btw great looking rig!

Thank you for the kind words.

Ultimately your lift is not what determines gear ratio, it is your tires. Lift can dictate many things like brake lines, bump stops, steering, driveshafts and so on. However, tires are the biggest influence in gears.

My sport came with 3.21s which I drove on with 35s for about a year. It was SLOW! I now run 4.88 Yukon gears and love it. I also had my axles sleeved and gusseted. O yea, and I installed a yukon air locker in the rear axle!

If you plan on lifting and going with 35s you will need to regear. 33s are about the limit where you do not have to address gears
