That I can't answer. Depends on which one you get and how you mount it. I'm sure with a little thought you can come up with a way to do not quickly.

Have the ARB 2500 on mine and no issues with using it as my daily driver. makes it easy to go from work right to the beach.

Have a frontrunner rack on my 16 rubicon and an arb 2000. No, I do not leave it on all the time for the following reasons - I think it looks silly, it's loud when driving, too many meth/pill heads in Nc would try to steal it then fail then get frustrated and damage it, I'm sure it hurts mpg's but I drive two jeeps, a trd 4runner, and an ss camaro so that's not really an issue. The biggest issue is it literally takes 15, maybe 20 min by myself to put it on. I leave the FR awning brackets on the rack all the time so i just lift an end up, throw a nut on scoot down to the next bracket throw a nut on etc. That's just me.

Seen this elsewhere and too lazy to find a link: mount the tent using HD door hinges with removable hinge-pins. Half of the hinge mounts permanently to the vehicle and the other half to the awning. You can orient them to suit your needs and you could replace one pin with a long-shackle lock.
