Any news on AT's new clamshell trailer?...

Yes AT has a clamshell trailer in the works. Right now we are building the prototype body that will be mounted on a slightly modified Chaser chassis, it will have the Horizon side protection bars.
The body will be made out of a composite material that weighs 20% the weight of steel and is as tuff as nails.
As the kitchen is all important we are designing the body around the kitchen, it will have our trademark of being functional, simple, yet providing all the amenities.
Initially we thought we could share the canvas with Kamparoo, but it looks like our model will need slightly longer walls to accommodate the increase height of the bed. We are looking at having the tent made locally.
We are as keen as you are to get this new model into production, but as you know everything takes time. We are shooting for the trailer being ready for production in 6 weeks, but people keep ordering trailers and we keep building them.
We are going for a big push on the prototype this week and next week so I should have more news for you soon.
Once I get a handle on Sketchup I'll be able to post some models of the trailer.

Hope that what you learn from the link will help to put your new trailer on an accelerated pace. I love to see new and innovative ideas put into action.

I am excited to see the new design. I just spent a week in Moab at Cruise Moab and met a couple with a Horizon behind a yellow FJ Cruiser. Great couple and they let me climb all over the trailer. All I can say is... WOW, I knew they were cool, I had no idea your fit and finish would be so nice and well thought out.
I was truly impressed! There were several there this past week, a few of each, chasers and horizons... equally awesome!
