Anybody what motor this is?

Its a 99 Disco. Looks like something was swapped in it. Definitely doesn't look like a V8 that the rear badge says. Looks more like a 4 banger to me. I am knew to Rovers so excuse my ignorance if applicable.

That is not a '99 Discovery

Thats not a rover. however that is a 4.9 (300ci) ford inline 6.

Perhaps a Land Cruiser with a Ford straight 6 in place of the original toyota 6?

That would explain why it didn't look right. The pics are from a Junkyard parting out a Disco. I guess they got this mixed up from another car.
