Anyone have an XVenture by Schutt Ind ?

Thanks for the pics. Please bear with me here. Is that Goal Zero also a/the 12v battery ? If not, where are the battery/ies ? Also, have you used the arb single compressor much ? Curious how well it works. I figured i would need the ARB dual compressor & an air tank for quick tire repair & refill & probably most certainly for an air impact, to also aid in quick tire changes on truck or trailer (side of the highway repairs are dangerous).

How long can you stay gone with 2 ARB 50 qts until you run out of food ? Do you use one as a freezer ?

Goal Zero Yeti 400 is a 33Ah Deep Cycle Battery as well as 110V Inverter and USB plus 12V supply. Then we stack an Odyssey 75Ah battery underneath that and wire in Parallel for a total of 110 Ah reserve.

ARB Single Cylinder Compressor is great for airing up tires. I use it regularly. It's not going to run pneumatic tools unless you are a dentist.

I always travel with 2 fridges, one set to freeze. How long you can stay out depends on your appetite. I've stayed off the grid for two weeks out of the two fridges but I also carry lots of dry and canned goods. The freeze keeps me in ice for my evening cocktail and plenty of room for beers, while the fridge keeps my fruits and veggies, cheeses, sandwich meats, eggs, breads, and left overs in a good shape.

Wouldn't your beers freeze up on you in the freezer fridge? I wish I had another fridge for ice but I don't see myself buying a 2nd fridge just for ice. Plus I don't get out enough to justify a 2nd fridge.

The second fridge isn't just for ice but also all drinks and some meats like salmon or steaks where you want to keep it just above freezing for optimal storage times. A second unit allows for quite a bit more perishable storage if you need to go out for longer periods. And having ice for cocktails is a must for me. Ice will also keep well in a Yeti cooler too 1/3rd the price of a fridge. I keep one fridge in the Jeep and one in the front cabinet of the trailer.

ARB 50Qt fridges get coldest at the bottom of the unit. So you can put a bag of ice in the bottom and stack drinks on top of the bag without worrying about them freezing with the temp set to 18F. I only put enough beers in the fridge as I think I will drink that night so they don't take up much room. I throw them in the Freeze. So I can carry a 12 pack and chill them as needed daily

Here is another important question (at least to me anyways)- Does the tailgate open flush with the bed when it is in the down position ? The reason i ask is: ARB fridge on a slide may not work if tailgate is higher than the bed. I have found other trailers while researching that do not open flush with the bed or the tailgate does not go to the top: both making it almost impossible to mount a fridge on a slide without modifications.

Does anyone know how much height is added to the fridge when using a slide ? Or how much height would be lost if using a bedslide ? It looks to me like 6-8" based on the pics on their website but can't tell for sure.

Goal Zero Yeti 400 is also a 12V Battery yes. It's an integrated Solar Panel Controller, 110V Inverter, and 33AH Deep Cycle Battery. We use the Odyssey 75 series batts in parallel with the Yeti 400 and the stack works great. Works great. ARB Single Cylinder compressor is a gem. Compact and reliable.

You can use an ARB slide under a 50Qt ARB fridge and still clear the Tonneau.

Our tailgate is a work of art and provides over 2000 lbs, that's 2K pounds of support strength on the tailgate panel alone when opened. The Tailgate opened creates a completely flush surface to the cargo bed floor. No step or drop of any kind.

So, I finally looked at some in person. All i can say is---WOW, i am IMPRESSED !!! Very HD. Workmanship was excellent. WAY MORE HD than any other off-road trailer i have seen. They are a work of art. SO COOL !!! Lots to think about now.

Yes....

At the risk of sounding like "I told you so", yes, it is amazing to see in person...

If you look at any other trailer, then look at the XVenture2, you see instantly how much thought and quality went into it. We still are amazed when we see other folks trailers. Comparing them is just something you do when you meet on the trail or in camp. Inevitably the other owners wind up at "wish I'd know about that". It really is that much of a difference.

Thank you all for the great compliments. It really is true that when you compare XVENTURE to anything else on the market today, you see immediately that it's the finest product of it's type. That said, looks and build spec are definitely important aspects of an Overland trailer, my opinion is it's got to hold up over many lifetimes, but "functionality" is where it's at in conjunction with build quality. This is where XV really shines compared to the competition. Once you actually use one a couple times, and compare it to anything else out there, you'll experience why the XV trailers are king.

Basic items like "work space platforms" for example, seems an after thought or no thought at all on most competing Overland Trailers as they have been too consumed with trying to copy AT's products or using the antique 416 footprint. Slanted nose box lids huh? What are these folks thinking? XVENTURE's fender system alone provides more work and shelf space than the other guys entire trailers provide. I'm talking platforms you can actually walk-on, pound on, set things on without having to deploy anything else or worry about damaging the thing. (Sorry Front Runner). Plus add the top of our nose box into the mix which has a work bench sized top larger than many guys have as their garage work benched and XV's HD Tailgate. Not to mention the entire top of the cargo bed (oh right we actually have a cargo bed) with the Hard Folding Tonneau closed is a huge aluminum skinned heat resistant shelf.

Don't even get me started on Galley Systems. As any chef will tell you having some meal prep space is critical. I look at the other products out there that give you a galley work space completely consumed with cooktop and sink and think huh? How do I make salad on that? Or hot water implementation or how the plumbing is installed...

These are but a few of XVENTURE's superior features that squash the competition for functionality. I could go on and on but at the risk of sounding jaded, I better move on to answering email inquiries.

I'll finish with, you really don't understand how awesome these babies are until you get out there and use one. Users like slsbl77 know, they are already a part of the legend.

could you post a picture up of the inside of the XV-1 (a/b) front cabinet.. I'm really liking the 1b model now.. since gas cannot be stored in the xv-2 cabinet.
I would like to see if you can fit the same battery stack and an ARB single compressor in the 1b... and move the gas to the sides outside the cabinet (Rotopax? maybe)
