Anyone having trouble getting ahold of Proffitt's?

Greg Miller is a Land Cruiser enthusiast and a long time customer of Proffits. They are opening a location in Tooele to help relieve the backlog of projects they have in Colorado and replicate their restoration and build services. Both he and Jeremiah are great businessman (and great guys on a personal level too), it will be neat to see how it comes together.

Thanks Kurt! Why Tooele i wonder?....I would think SLC would be a better home...

My 80 is headed out there for a 1HDT swap early next year - figure if I was going to do it, may as well have it done right :wings::wings:

Got ahold of them-they were out last week!

Just spoke with John about my project and he informed me that they were out of the office for a few days for meetings for their upcoming opening of their Utah location. It sounds like they are going to have a great facility there, and John is actually moving out there to oversee that location as well as the original location!

I think I have everything hammered out on my 40 and the logistics as far as getting it out there-I can't wait to see the finished product and what they do with it! John definitely has a love for the Cruisers, and I am sure that I made the right choice sending it out that way!

Thanks again everyone, and I'll be sure to post up as the build progresses! Hopefully they'll have it wrapped up in time for Cruise Moab, and I'll "have to" (twist my arm!) fly out and pick it up for that. :wings:

Hey everyone,

Sorry about not being available. I was up in SLC for the official orientation into the LHM group. All I have to say is WOW! I am so excited! The new shop is going to be great and will be out at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele.

We should be operational by early December and if anyone is in the area, please come by and check it out. We may not have our official grand opening until the Spring when the weather warms up a little.

I spent the day after the orientation cruising around the SLC looking for areas that we might want to live in. My wife and I have narrowed it down to a certain region but we will have to go back up and look at either renting or buying. Anyone want to buy a house in Western Colorado? :)

What area are you thinking John?

Kurt,

We had heard some great things about the Sugarhouse area so we checked that out. It's cool.

To broaden the scope, we have narrowed it to the area of: East of State Street and North of 80. We really like the area around the Avenues but $$$. Sugarhouse was cool as was the area of 15th/15th. Around the Univ. was also neat.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Kurt: you are in Sandy right? That was a nice area as well but it might be a long commute for me to MMP. I am hoping to keep the commute at around 45 minutes or so.

czenkov: Are you Drew that I met at GB? If it is, thanks for all the info and the Rover tour.

I am really excited to be around the SLC area. It sounds like there are some really great people around. I will be up there in about a month or so.

All nice areas for sure, can't say anything bad about any of those. University traffic can be pretty nasty in the mornings, afternoons and ball games, but generally its nothing major. Paul May lives right below the campus, very cool house in a neat neighborhood. He might have an opinion there. Sugarhouse is great too, historically its had inflated home values but now is obviously a great time to buy.

Yup, love the area, 10 minutes or less from the mouth of Big or Little Cottonwood Canyons but as noted the drive to the MMP is a haul. I plan on an hour when I am working out there, I can usually do it in ~50 minutes but with any traffic and hour is par.

Give me a call when you get a minute, I'd love to catch up!
