Hey, who wants to do a quick camping trip the weekend of the 29th? I am thinking of running off for that weekend, anyone up for it? I am thinking in the Stoneman lake area/Apache Maid. Any takers, just speak up here. There is enough room for several camps if the spot is not taken. I figure I will head up there Friday after work (puts arrival around 6-6:30) and head back to town on Sunday sometime.

Optional route in or out for ya - either from Camp Verde or Beaver Creak/Sedona exit. Prolly faster from Camp Verde tho. Anyway, your heading to FS 618. It goes all the way thru from West Clear Creek to Beaver Creak. Two miles west of West Clear Creak (Bull Pen Ranch), you turn north on FS 214 - stick with it and you come into Apache Maid from the south. Beautiful country - high plateau meadows with Juniper/Pinion changing to Ponderosa Pine. Great veiws too!

I liked that route. Did in in my old Mazda MPV 4WD. Ooooo, it even had a CDL. Ya all jealous? :D

OK, due to Mark's band playing the day after my birthday, and the offer of a roound of free drinks, I am going to cancel this trip. I am gonna go and see the band rock out instead. :friday:

Cool - da band!

I wil move to "completed" and lock it. Just let me know if you want to move it back for any reason or rescheduling.
